Before we were hit with the wet-blanket humidity and before we spent days hiding under umbrellas, we actually had some very nice spring weather. It’s a bit hard to remember….but we did! Since we know just how elusive nice spring days are, we hooked up the Swedest Deal and headed for the lake.
My hubby and sons came home with their first reddish tints of the season….I managed to come home with this quick watercolor impression. These rugged American basswood have been growing for decades on our lake’s island. I’m enamored with their sloping trunks and irregular reflections. I roughed out a sketch in my watercolor journal so I wouldn’t forget their form.

Lots of cool stuff, but I particularly like the Basswood watercolor. Nice!
Thank you! And you are right, there are a lot of new features to Rainy Day Sunny Sky! Personally, I’m especially fond of the Cloudbuster page. Good thoughts coming in make for Good Thoughts coming out! Have a great day…..Dear! : )
